If you’ve been using or following Equicantis for a while, then you’ll have noticed some changes around here! We’ve got a new name and a new brand. Corevelio is the new name for Equicantis.
Our new name is something we’ve been thinking about for a while. Our software has evolved over the years and we had a feeling our name wasn’t quite reflecting the scope and scale of what we offer to the practitioners and therapists we support.
Equicantis was specially designed for canine and equine physical therapists. The “equi” and the “can” in the name Equicantis were always intended to convey that, as well as the horseshoe and paw print in our logo. However, our research and experience talking to canine therapists led us to realise that they often assumed our focus was on equine. Some didn’t realise we were for them too. We are, and we’re even used by practitioners who treat human patients too.
As we have worked with and supported more animal therapists across a range of specialisms and internationally, we started to recognise we were ready to make a change.
It wasn’t an easy decision. Laura came up with idea six years ago and the main build was done during Covid and whilst pregnant, so understandably felt an attachment to the name and brand identity of the business, but that will always be part of the story; it’s now time for the next chapter!
A new name, a new look and a new brand that better reflects where we're heading and the future we're building. This is just the beginning, we have plans for new features to enable us to support even more of you in your work treating animals.
If you are already one of our subscribers then rest assured, the platform might look slightly different but nothing about your subscription is changing.
Whilst our branding is changing, everything else is staying the same. Your subscription, your login, your data, the features you know and use, and the team behind the platform all remain exactly as they are.
You’ll be pleased to hear we haven’t moved things around so you can log on and get to work exactly as normal. All your information, reports and favourite features are right where you left them!
After some initial nerves, we’ve been so excited to move to the new branding and share this with you. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Corevelio has been built to be the incredible platform that it is today thanks to support and feedback from the animal therapist community, so as always, if you have feedback, ideas or suggestions for future features that would make your life as an animal practitioner easier, we’d love to hear them.
